New Battery Recharges In 60 Seconds

Scientists from Stanford University (USA) have created a battery for charging smartphones in less than a minute. Researchers believe that this battery made of aluminum can revolutionize the market due to the speed, low manufacturing cost and also be more environmentally friendly.

Hongjie Dai, professor of chemistry at Stanford University, says these aluminum batteries can replace the existing storage devices. Examples are alkaline batteries that are deemed harmful to the environment, or the lithium-ion battery that easily explode, unlike the aluminum batteries.
According to the researcher, airlines United Airlines and Delta have even prohibit lithium batteries among its passengers the danger they represent.
The main characteristics of aluminum batteries are their low manufacturing cost, ability to withstand fire, and finally the ability to recharge the speed of light.
